Daniel’s Flag represents six main geographic regions by the 6 pointed white star. – the City of Chicago is the County Seat (capital) is represented by the red Chicago Star. and the five suburban regions (North, Northwest, Northeast, Southwest, South) is represented by the small 5 pointed star in the middle of both stars. The green field represents counties commitment to protecting the Ecosystem and forest preserves of the county. Green also means growth, harmony, safety, and fertility of the county. The blue field represents Michigan Lake, the rivers that flow across the county and feed into the lake. Blue represents trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, intelligence, faith, and truth, many qualities that the County represents.
