The green on the flag is one of the most important ones because not only does it represent nature, for the forest preserves, but it also represents healing, bringing the history of Cook County providing people with healthcare even if they can’t pay. Which leads me into the last element of my flag which is the crosses in the middle, again, representing the hospitals within Cook County, and the roll they played in helping those in the army during the civil war.
