The nine stripes represent the nine courts in cook county as well as our lake. The green is for the nature and the forest preserves we have here. Blue is for the lake and the pink circle represents our county flower, the purple coneflower. The encompassing green also represents how we have a strong, united community that even reaches the lakeside.
