
The blue in the background represents the water bodies and lake that sits next to our great city. The red star is an iconic symbol of the Chicago flag and brings the aspect of the city to the flag, The white lines represent the railroads that stretch from the city to the suburbs and connect everyone in Cook County. The green on the white lines is for the many forest preserves and greenery that stretch from Chicago all the way to the suburbs. Lastly, The name is “Alliance” because as Cook County we have an unwritten rule of helping others and staying together through the ups and downs of life.
