Colors: Blue and yellow

Meanings/Symbolism: Blue represents the waters of Cook County, especially Lake Michigan. Yellow represents the sun shining over the blue waters of Lake Michigan, the Chicago River, and the other lakes and rivers of the county. The 6 points on the star represents the 6 regions of Cook County.
More idealistically, blue represents the American Way, loyalty, peace, and relaxation. And yellow represents justice and hope.
